Minnesota’s
regional arts network

The Forum of Regional Arts Councils of Minnesota (FRACMN) brings together 11 Regional Arts Councils (RACs) to share best practices, cultivate leadership, and ensure arts resources reach communities across the state.

Every County.
Every Tribal Nation.
Every Minnesotan.

Regional Arts Councils are deeply rooted in the communities they serve but powerful enough to advocate at the state level.

the legacy
amendment

In 2008, Minnesota voters passed the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment. A constitutional commitment that includes dedicated funding for the state's arts and cultural heritage. That funding flows through the Minnesota State Arts Board and out to Minnesota's eleven Regional Arts Councils, reaching local arts programs, education residencies, and organizations in communities of every size.

It's easy to take for granted. It shouldn't be. The Legacy Amendment is up for renewal in 2034, and the case for it starts with understanding what it actually makes possible.
